The lessons last 50 minutes, they are carried out privately, and the first one is dedicated to knowing your requirements (which are the musical matters that you will want to learn or to deepen), these are also useful as a control of your musical knowledge and abilities.

According to your needs we will agree on the textbooks to follow, or you will be supplied with the didactic material during the lesson. We will also agree on a timetable based on your working requirements, your school engagements, etc., and we will prepare a lesson plan aimed at achieving your prearranged objectives, in your timescale depending on the quality of your attendance at the lessons (and your dedication!).

Rhythmic and Spoken Sol-fa Lessons:

Music is a universal language, a real language that is used all over the world, and as such it possesses its own alphabet.

The alphabet of Music is learned by means of sol-fa, which, beginning from a basic level of acknowledgment of rhythms and notes, arrives at letting you decipher the masterpieces written in the musical field in the past centuries and in our days. Far from being a boring matter, it is and always will be the most useful means in order to play whichever instrument, that is to say in order “to speak and to be understood” through the language of music.

Lessons of Sung Sol-fa and Modern Singing:

Sol-fa deals with the reading of notes, but every note is the representation of a sound, and with the sung sol-fa you will learn to sing whichever type of song, travelling through intervals, scales and chords.

The interesting notions concerning perception, respiration and resonance will help you enormously if what you are interested in is singing.

Specific Sol-fa lessons for preparation for the examinations at the Conservatory:

We will follow the ministerial program of the Conservatory.

• Listening: recognition of melodic intervals, number and species. Major and minor scales, included the three minor types. Rhythmic figurations.
• Intonation aimed at the rhythmic-melodic dictation and the tuned reading in key of G. –
• Rhythmic Reading in key of G and key of F.

Piano Lessons:

The Piano lessons are focused on the following main topics: the technique, phrasing and the expression, the interpretation of the compositions according to the style to which they belong. At the beginning, whichever is the musical style that you will want to play, it will be paid particular attention to the technique to be used approaching the instrument, which will allow you then to overcome whichever interpretative obstacle. The piano lessons will be planned to fit your needs.

• Passing Conservatory exams (Elementary, Medium, Advanced Courses)
• Studying new works after the Advanced Diploma
• Approaching the instrument for pure personal passion, in order to play classic or other musical genres
